The exercises use body weight and gravity and do not require special equipment. They are intended to:
- Decrease pain and restore function
- Restore optimal muscle balance and length
- Release tension in muscles
- Activate latent muscles
- Restore mind-body awareness
- Restore the 90-degree blueprint and balance
- Restore joint range of motion
- Enhance and optimise performance
Exercise Menus - These are created to retrain the body and to achieve optimum posture. Menu length varies and can be up-to an hour long.
The exercises alone are not the sole determining factor in improving structural/mechanical function. The primary components are:
- The application of specific exercises tailored to each client. We have a catalogue of over 500 different exercises. Only those exercises that apply to that individual will be of benefit.
- The sequencing of the exercises. The exercises must be sequenced for progressive demand where one exercise builds upon the one before without contradicting it.
- Once the exercise menu is demonstrated during the session it is then continued at home for an average of seven days. At this point we re-evaluate the patient and redesign the routine accordingly.
A final menu will then be used as a daily Life Habit to help keep the body stimulated and balanced, by encouraging it to move outside its normal day-to-day motion.
